ETYMOLOGY

Genus: Cinnamomum. Family: Lauraceae.

Cinnammomum verum is often considered ‘true cinnamon’ but most common in international commerce is Cinnamomum cassia. In 2018, Indonesia produced 40% of cinnamon and China 30%.

Bark used as a spice. Principle component: Cinnamaldehyde.

Countries mentioned: Indonesia and China.

HEIC supports transparency while JPEG does not. This is notable with macOS / iOS supporting Dark mode where the lack of transparency around an icon over a black background will be represented as instead of black/darker color as intended.
